I had actually planned to cancel my Birchbox subscription, but since fun post is one of life’s few pleasures right now, I decided to keep it going. This month’s haul was a good one, too, filled with products I will use: a gentle face peel, eye patches (I won’t use them but have sent them to a friend who will), a cleansing cloth, texturising spray and concealer, for thos far off days when I might wear make up again.

The box had a 4th July US theme, so props for also including a card on how to support Black artists and creatives (including a reading list of Black literature), though I hope this is followed with a genuine commitment to include products by Black and POC owned companies.
