So, in a by now well-established tradition I have succumbed to seasonal lurgy. Luckily T is a great guest and was happy to entertain herself in town for the day while I lay on the sofa chugging Lemsips, but as we had made plans to meet my friends J & N for dinner I did eventually have to drag myself out.

Happily, the food and company were worth it. Rasika is on the Quayside – just down from the Side Gallery – and does a very tasty range of food, with a great vegetarian selection. After dinner we had drinks in the Red House before heading home where I could go to bed with my hot water bottle because I am so rock and roll…
