I miss theatre. I miss writing about theatre. I’ve been lucky since I moved back to Newcastle to have such a regular diet of great shows, not just here but around the country – before the lockdown started I had trips to Edinburgh, York and London planned. Obviously set against the backdrop of people losing their lives and livelhoods, it’s not a great loss, but it is a personal one, and one I mourn.
So I was delighted to be commissioned by Greyscale Theatre company (in conjunction with Exeunt) to write an Imaginary Review, which gave me a chance to celebrate Newcastle’s theatre scene and also the hope that we will come back different, but stronger. You can read it here.
